The Big Red Heart Appeal 2020
As February is Heart Awareness Month, businesses, schools and communities are being asked to 'go red' for our Big Red Heart Appeal on February 14th by holding their own red events and activities during the month.
Communities, schools and employees will wear red or hold red events and iconic buildings will go red to raise awareness and funds to support the Welsh Hearts charity.
Donations raised from The Big Red Heart Appeal will help Welsh Hearts continue to place defibrillators across Wales, teach Free CPR training and hold heart screening days for 8 to 45-year-olds.
How to get Involved
Have fun by going red and raising donations for Welsh Hearts. Whether you hold a red-themed event or simply wear something red to work, there are plenty of fun ways to get involved…
- Red face painting
- Sit in a bath of red custard
- Wear red to work / school
- Hold a red bake sale
- Hold a red themed challenge
- Hold a red arts and crafts event
- Decorate or light up your building red
- Wear red lipstick/nails
- Host a local red walk
February 14th is the official Big Red Heart Appeal day but you can fundraise for Welsh Hearts anytime during February! What will you do to support the campaign?
However you choose to 'go red' or see others taking part in the campaign, it should be a reminder to help us fight the number one killer heart disease across Wales and help Welsh Hearts save many more lives!
When you've decided how to 'go red', let us know and we'll be happy to provide you with donation buckets and Welsh Hearts balloons and badges. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please share our campaign on social media to help spread the word and save lives in Wales! #BigRedHeartAppeal
